A series of levels, seemingly problematic, have become an amazing platform for a three-tiered landscape that now graces the property of Mount Eden. The slope that once was a force of nature is now developed and has given clients Geoff and Rose lots of different options to entertain their friends on all levels.
When Mike and Genevieve Broadbent decided to renovate their backyard in Herne Bay, they did so to make a statement. Their beautiful house would be well at home with a traditional classic look. But Mike opted instead for a resort style landscape. As a result, walking into their garden is an experience not easily forgotten.

Whangaparaoa Peninsula hosts some of the most amazing coastal views around – and Tindalls Bay is no exception. In the past 10 years since John and Jenny Dunn have lived there, they have battled with the luring effect of their coastal outlook, only to be driven back inside once the wind picked up. Planning for this extension took place over the next 12 months. It became a culmination of John’s ideas, those of his architect, and Landscape Designers Peter Nobbs, Jules Moore and Mark Buchanan from Landscape Designer Ltd.
Outdoor entertainment extravaganza
Due to the creative landscaping works of Matt McIsaac, Jules Moore and their team from Landscape Designer Ltd, owner Jacqui now has a garden she can be proud of. It’s a garden that abounds with design and detailing. The whole experience leaves you wanting more.
Small subtropical garden
Opposing angles from an existing retaining wall and steps with an angular entrance to the front door might have challenged many ‘reno’ experts but landscape designers, Matt McIssac and Jules Moore, took this renovation to a different level. The space was completely transformed, bringing the past into the present.
Japanese style garden
With a Zen influence and a resort style subtropical pallet, this crossover planting and design style is adding a new dimension to landscaping small and angled sections. A Japanese styled contemplation area and subtropical styled garden were the inspiration for Tony Ingrams surprise for his wife Robyn’s 50th birthday.
