Decking at Placemakers

Decking at Placemakers

While more expensive than merch or premium pine, they do bring a lot of additional benefits for your customers.

Vulcan Thermally Modified Timber Decking

Abodo’s Vulcan Decking is created from thermally modified NZ plantation timber and then treated with an organic preservative system that includes a water repellent for superior durability resulting in enhanced stability, reduced resin content and is a beautiful homogeneous brown colour which will silver off or can be stained on site.

Perfect for hot, exposed conditions, it is designed with lifetime beauty in mind, even in harsh coastal aplications and designed to be installed grip tread up.

Shadowdeck

As NZ’s only BRANZ appraised hidden deck fastener, the ShadowDeck system creates an unbeatable nail-free finish every time.

It is 100% FSC certified, comes with a slight dome profile on the top side of the boards to aide water-shed, is pre-grooved on the edges to make it easier to install with the hidden deck fastener, and is pre-oiled on all sides before it arrives on-site which means the timber won’t cup, and has minimal contraction and expansion.

The result is a smarter looking and longer lasting deck which stands the test of time and is well proven in NZ’s harsh UV conditions.

Accoya

Accoya Decking utilises the world's leading technology for wood modification, Acetylation. It is a non-toxic cellular modification process resulting in durable, stable and non-toxic decking with performance characteristics better than any hardwood. Radiata Pine is sourced from sustainably managed forests in NZ to compliment the environmental ethos of the product. Stringent quality control measures throughout production ensures consistent performance when installed into the NZ environment. Available in either dressed smooth or Band sawn face finish. Accoya decking can be either stained or just left to weather naturally.

Bamboo Composite

Eva-Last I series is a New premium composite decking range created using the latest in co-extruded bamboo-plastic composite (BPC) technology. An advanced protective cap offers the ultimate in composite durability, and long-lasting stability. It is backed by an industry leading 25-year warranty, which includes coverage for stain, fade and scratch-resistance. Available in 4 natural colours with a new and improved embossed pattern to give the aesthetic of timber without the maintenance or environmental impact. It is 40% lighter and twice as strong as standard composite decking but at a lower price point.

Outdure

ResortDeck with UltraShield is a high performance recycled composite board and fascia range that looks like hardwood timber decking but requires no staining, painting, is splinter and nail-free, and capped for moisture and UV resistance.

ResortDeck can be installed on a traditional timber sub-frame or for a fast, straight, level solution that doesn’t rot, use Outdure’s QwickBuild exterior flooring system, comprised of Global Green Tag certified aluminium framing and components and patented hidden fastenings to support decking, tiles, and turf.

QwickBuild comes in a range of joist-bearer profiles to suit all deck projects and heights from ultra-low to raised decks. The versatile system can be used over ground, membrane, concrete, pavers and makes it easy to achieve the valuable flush-finish between the interior floor level and deck area Other decking types are also available.
