Heading the Zones Waikato team as managing partners, Gary Guo and Leah Huang bring solid project management experience and sound business acumen to the business.
Gary has more than a decade of business experience in the food industry, while Leah – having graduated from the University of Waikato 10 years ago with a Bachelor of Management Studies – brings an in-depth insight into corporate management accounting and project management. They deal with challenges, manage complex undertakings that involve a large number of different tradespeople, obtain all necessary permits and keep a close eye on the timeline and the budget to ensure your project is a success.
Gary and Leah work with a team of passionate landscape architect and designers, including an experienced architect, a knowledgeable plant specialist, a creative designer and a licensed builder. Site manager Jim overseas each project and ensures everything runs smoothly. He has more than 15 years of construction experience, including hand-on expertise in pool digging, paving and fencing. In addition to the permanent team, Zones Waikato also draws on the skills of reliable and reputable local sub-contractors with their own preferred arborists, electricians, plumbers, stonemasons, excavation specialists, concrete layers, drain layers and swimming pool builders.
Gary has more than 10 years of business experience in the food export industry. He started off as an independent contractor for George Weston Foods and then moved on to be a wholesaler for seafood, exporting crayfish to China. In his spare time he enjoys growing and expanding his own vegetable garden.
