North Shore Fencing Contractors

Whether you are interested in basic or high-end fencing, the Zones North Shore team can help you to improve the privacy, aesthetics and security of your property. They will design your fencing with your preferences and budget in mind and can take care of all council requirements in the process.

What fencing services do Zones North Shore provide?

Zones provide a complete landscape design and installation service, including:

  • Bespoke designs
  • Fencing builds and installations
  • Automatic gate installations
  • Privacy screen installations
  • Pet-friendly landscaping
  • Hardscaping
  • Softscaping
  • Outdoor lighting installations

How much will my fence installation cost?

Depending on the fencing’s length, height and material, as well as the conditions of the site, basic fencing installations start from around $10,000*, or approximately $150*+ per square metre. High-end fencing, such as hardwood or stone, will cost more. For a cost estimate accurate to your specific requirements, please consult your local landscaping specialist.

*Costs are rough estimates and are subject to change. For a fixed-quote accurate to your specific project, please consult your local Zones landscaping specialist.

Will Zones take care of any building consent requirements?

If you would like your fence to be higher than 2.5 metres, the project will require building consent and possibly resource consent. You will likely also need building consent and resource consent if you are installing a fence around a swimming pool, depending on your pool’s depth and placement. It’s important to note that, if you are building on a boundary line, you will also need to consult your neighbours. Your Zones landscaping specialist can advise you further on your consent requirements and can take care of the application process for you.

What are my fencing options?

Timber, PVC, hardwood, aluminium and stone fencing are all common choices. Timber and PVC are budget-friendly options while hardwood and aluminium offer superior durability. When selecting your fence material, think about what will suit your house and neighbourhood. Older homes tend to suit a natural, classic style while modern homes can suit a variety of styles. If you’re not sure what will work within your taste and budget, your local Zones landscaping specialist can help.
