• Extra work, like the concrete path and mowing strip, adds more labour
• A custom-made pergola can increase costs.

However, by adjusting materials, from a louvre roof to a polycarbonate ClearView roof and using Kwila decking instead of composite, the project stayed at the client’s final budget of $85k.
