People's Choice Awards - 2019 Outdoor Room of the Year

Gold Award:

Outdoor ambience in Westmere by Kate Ryan 

Taking first place is Kate Ryan with this gorgeous outdoor living space in Westmere. This family wanted a louvre roof, an outdoor fireplace, artificial lawn, new decking, and a spa area. Kate used the bespoke Zones design and build process to help them create an outdoor living space that meets their lifestyle needs. Silver Award: 

Poolside landscape design in Auckland by Rose Bridge

Coming in second is Rose Bridge with this Auckland poolside oasis! Homeowners of this property wanted to personalise their paved patio area and enhance the aesthetics of their outdoor space while improving its year-round usability. Rose and her team managed every aspect of this project, from design to completion, which involved initial planning, build-out of completely new decking, fireplace and outdoor cooking installation, louvre installation, and garden landscaping. Bronze Award:

Upgrading a swimming pool, garden, and outdoor dining area by Matt and Boyd Gillespie

Rounding out this year’s Outdoor Room of the Year People’s Choice Awards are Matt & Boyd Gillespie with this North Shore backyard update. Although this property already had the foundations for a fantastic outdoor entertainment space, Matt & Boyd provided a new design and planting plan to create defined areas for the family to entertain and relax. This involved installing new decking and retaining, refurbishing the swimming pool, installing coloured concrete patios and an alloy louvred roof, and finally introducing planter boxes and garden life.
