Ideally located but tightly packed; that’s Herne Bay. And for this small plot the answer to a lack of privacy was a bespoke wrap around louvre. Used to define the outdoor entertaining area while ensuring privacy, the addition of custom, built-in lighting ensures this outdoor space can be enjoyed any time, day or night. 

A cosy fireplace, laser cut steel art, and complementary greenery complete the transformation turning this urban courtyard into a private and relaxing haven.

Unlike the desert it’s inspired by, the design of this outdoor living environment offers respite from the sun under a sleek and modern louvre. Behind a barbecue area, a cedar privacy screen with warm, multi-tonal planks enhances the natural surroundings and the home’s existing exterior while creating privacy.
