Matthew Wilkinson - Landscaping Specialist Services In Waitakereback to list
Zones Landscaping Specialist Matthew joined the Zones team when he saw the opportunity to take his office based skills outside. With 10 years of corporate experience, he has developed outstanding organisational skills and he prides himself on delivering exceptional customer service. He realised that by focusing his talents on outdoor renovations, he could help everyday Kiwi’s turn their ideas into reality, adding value to homes by creating livable outdoor spaces for their families and friends to enjoy.
Originally from the South Island, where he grew up on a Mid-Canterbury farm, Matthew picked up practical skills and his can-do attitude. He spent a gap year working as a precast concrete labourer, which helped him further develop his practical know-how. Following this he attended the University of Canterbury and went onto graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce in Strategic Management. While gaining his qualifications he joined the sportswear company Adidas and progressed through multiple roles, one of which sparked his shift up to Auckland. With Adidas he was fortunate enough to work closely with some of NZ’s top sporting talent as a Sponsorship Relationship Executive.
He is particularly proud of his time working with the All Blacks, Super Rugby and Silver Ferns teams where he honed his project management skills, organising fitting events to provide team apparel. Looking for a fresh challenge in a new industry he later shifted into a Merchandise Manager position with DB Breweries before joining Samsung to work as an Account Manager with the 2degrees account.
Away from work Matthew and his partner Polina recently purchased their first home in West Auckland, they have been busy putting their touches on the property and making improvements where they can. In Waitakere they enjoy all the area has to offer, whether it is exploring up in the beautiful ranges, kayaking in the Waitemata Harbour or heading out to the West coast beaches for fun in the sun. They are excited about living and working in the Waitakere region where they plan to continue to grow with the community and build their family together.
