A garden perfect for children
The clients wanted a low maintenance garden and tasked Zones with minimising garden bed areas, raising and straightening the lines of the garden borders and creating a flat and usable space. Most interestingly, they wanted a play area where their kids could run and ride their bikes. The use of artificial turf, smooth concrete and new aluminium fencing made it safe for children.
A hydro-seeding lawn for a backyard in Hobsonville
There were two main priorities for this project: the gate and the hydro-seeding lawn. The gate that the client wanted was to exactly replicate an existing one from Waiuku gates and it had to suit their budget. The clients were thrilled with the results.
Hillside area transformation
Zones transformed this dated and shady area on a hillside section into a usable, family-friendly outdoor living space. The project involved removing the existing lawn, re-boxing hedges and installing artificial turf to counter poor growth conditions. Zones was able to reuse existing stone from the property, giving something old a new lease of life, while also incorporating new features.
A kid-friendly garden makeover
The clients wanted Zones to replace their existing damaged retaining wall while also creating a barrier to prevent their grandkids from falling over the edge of the raised area. Enabling the space to be used as a family area and making it visually appealing was an interesting challenge!
Modern, resort-like front and backyard makeover
Encompassing a complete outdoor design, driveway, lighting, landscaping and layout changes, this Zones makeover resulted in a sophisticated and quality outdoor area. The front and backyard of this property now have a streamlined, uncluttered tropical look, defined with edging plants. The deck installed extended the area around the swim spa and made access to the garage and the back of the house easier. Not only did the homeowners add value to their home, but they dramatically improved the indoor-outdoor flow of the existing house.
A backyard makeover for a wedding
Most landscaping projects tend to serve a specific purpose, like transforming an unused space into something more functional. But when Andrew and Zelda Tucker asked Zones for help to transform their Hamilton backyard, it was for something much more special.
Zoning in on a long landscape
With a somewhat ill-defined brief that included low maintenance planting, a feng shui influence, and increased privacy, a landscaping project in one of Auckland’s popular eastern suburbs promised plenty of challenges for Zones landscaping specialists Debbie and Stuart Gill.
Secluded garden reaches brave new heights
When Zones franchisee Kate Ryan commenced the back yard make-over of a Panmure home, she was given a head start by her clients: They knew how they wanted the space to look when finished and they supplied her with a landscape plan and layout.
Stylish, low maintenance landscape design
With a large wrap-around deck and a fire pit for outdoor entertaining, this backyard was transformed into the Wards’ dream outdoor area. Zones specialist Debbie Gill designed a stylish, functional, and low-maintenance space with half the original budget.
